The Houston marathon and half marathon typically attract over 250,000 participants, including runners, volunteers, and spectators on Race Day, making it the largest single-day sporting event in Houston. The total includes hundreds of our volunteers and 300 of Aramco’s runners, including affiliates Aramco Trading Americas, Motiva, and SABIC.

Houston Race Weekend not only celebrates health and fitness but spreads awareness of local non-profit organizations. From investing in STEM education to helping meet vital societal needs, emphasizes the importance of being a good neighbor and has a robust corporate citizenship program, Committed to the Community.
“Corporate citizenship has been at the heart of how Aramco engages with the community for decades,” said Hatem Alfayez, director of public affairs, Aramco Americas. “We established our program with the belief that strategic investments in people, communities, and biodiversity can empower individuals, strengthen families, and safeguard the environment for future generations.”
For the third year, Aramco is supporting the Houston Marathon Foundation’s after-school running program, We Run Houston. This year, the program provided running shoes and athletic apparel for 1,000 local students to run the half marathon or the 5K.
