Aramco will gather with industry and government leaders from around the world September 17-21 in Calgary for the 24th World Petroleum Congress to join the conversation on current energy topics with a look toward the future.
Saudi Aramco’s President & CEO Amin H. Nasser participates in the opening day plenary session “Energy Transition: The Path to Net Zero” joining Hou Qijun, Director and President - China National Petroleum Corporation, and Darren Woods, Chairman and CEO - ExxonMobil Corporation.
Nasser has also been selected to receive the Dewhurst Award, recognizing his outstanding lifetime achievements in the oil and gas sector. The Award has only been granted to 11 individuals in 90 years.
Throughout the five-day event Aramco leadership and technical professionals will participate in forums, including: Innovative E&P technologies, Best Practices in Oil Mega Projects, Resilient Refining, Safety & Security Culture in the New Environment, and Women Leading the Energy Transition.
The World Petroleum Council, recognized as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) by the United Nations, is dedicated to the promotion of sustainable management and use of the world’s petroleum resources for the benefit of all. The Congress will address a range of topics from technological advancements, the role of natural gas and renewables, and management of the energy industry to broader social, economic, and environmental issues.
Calgary is recognized as one of the world's energy capitals, known as a hub for technological innovation, entrepreneurship, and research and development within the energy sector.
Aramco’s large exhibition space, booth #1618, will feature a variety of projects from solar-powered gas wells to zero emission gas-powered cars. Aramco is a presenting sponsor of this year’s World Petroleum Congress.
