The Michigan Science Center (MiSci) kicked off its high-energy, hands-on STEM experience supported by Aramco Americas for the 2022-2023 school year.

The popular Aramco Traveling Science Program kicked off with an Annual Celebration open to the public on August 24th featuring live demonstrations and interactive experiences for students.  This is one of the many STEM programs Aramco supports to create interest and excitement for studies in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math.

Last year, from June 2021 to May 2022, the Aramco Traveling Science Program served 46,445 people at 104 events at schools, libraries, summer childcare and after-school programs, and other community groups in Michigan and Ohio.

“We are a company committed to R&D and technology.  With continued support for the Michigan Science Center and STEM programs across the U.S., we look to spark interest among youth in science and innovation,” said Nabeel I. AlAfaleg, president and CEO, Aramco Americas.”

MiSci, a regional STEM hub, has been expanding its reach beyond its Detroit-based facility through the Traveling Science Program and other distance learning initiatives, with a goal of reaching all 83 counties in Michigan.  “It's critical to find ways to interest young people throughout the year with inspirational and educational experiences,” said Dr. Christian Greer, president and CEO, Michigan Science Center.
