Aramco Americas sponsored the Houston World Affairs Council's 23rd Annual Jesse H. Jones Award Luncheon, an event that brings together leaders from across one of the most international cities in the United States to celebrate cross-cultural engagement and global business.
Tarik Basrawi, Manager of Technical Services, delivered opening remarks at the VIP reception held before the lunchtime gathering on October 14.
He spoke to business leaders about Aramco's work in the community, its deep roots in Houston, and past educational collaborations it has supported with the Council.
The luncheon also featured a public conversation between David Rubenstein, Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of The Carlyle Group, and Vicki Hollub, CEO of Occidental Petroleum.
It was attended by about 500 people - among them executives from SABIC, MOTIVA and Aramco Americas.
