Aramco Americas Procurement & Supply Chain Management team met with world-class suppliers in Brazil as part of its interest in sourcing various commodities, including drilling equipment, chemicals, electrical equipment, engines, and valves.
A recent virtual webinar for suppliers, who share Aramco's vision for excellence, offered an overview on the company's expansion plans and capital projects and walked attendees through the process of how to register as a supplier with Aramco.
“Aramco is a long-time partner to thousands of companies around the globe,” said Adel Alshahrani, Manager, Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Aramco Americas. “Our partnerships in North and South America, and throughout the world, have enabled us to provide reliable energy for almost 90 years. Throughout this time, we have greatly expanded our business.”
Alshahrani pointed to Aramco's substantial investment in its global downstream operations with a focus on refining and petrochemicals. “We continue to build 'win-win' partnerships that are strategically aligned.”
Brazil is a major world supplier of automobiles, electrical machinery, chemicals, steel, and many other industrial products, noted Alshahrani. The webinar was a reach out to explore opportunities to expand its supplier network. Aramco is no stranger to Brazil, having participated in the Rio Oil & Gas Show through the years, and in 2018, held a dedicated supplier event in Rio focused on construction services.
