Helping Families Through Support of the Houston Food Bank
Aramco Americas continues its support of families in the communities hard hit by the pandemic through its partnership with the Houston Food Bank and other organizations.
“Aramco Americas is a great friend and partner of the Houston Food Bank, and always steps forward in times of need,” said Paula McKenzie, Director of Major Gifts, Houston Food Bank. “We are grateful for their support during this challenging time with so many out of school or work, missing out on meals.”
A dedicated employee campaign with matching company support has funded the distribution of 162,000 meals during this critical time of need.
“Our commitment to the community, especially in times of crisis and urgent need remains strong,” said Mohammad S. Alshammari, Aramco Americas, President & CEO. “Our employees answered the call with this fundraising initiative, and we are responding to help put food on the table for many people in need.”
Employees, their family members, and summer students are a familiar group at the Houston Food Bank having sorted and packaged food through years of on-site volunteer efforts. The employee-driven campaign was a way of showing their support during the health crisis.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, Aramco Americas was pleased to support the Food Bank through volunteerism and donations.
