The Company reserves the right to modify, amend, suspend, or terminate any of these plans at any time; provided, however, that no such amendment or termination shall affect the right of a Member to receive any unpaid benefit under any plan.
The Savings Plan – 401(k)
We encourage employees to save responsibly for their future. Aramco Services Company (ASC) new employees are automatically enrolled in the Savings Plan at a rate of 4 percent of their monthly base earnings. The company will contribute a fixed 5 percent employer contribution and 4 percent matching contribution, for a total maximum employer contribution equal to 9 percent of eligible compensation. Saudi Aramco new hires are automatically enrolled in the Savings Plan at a rate of 9 percent of their monthly base earnings. The Company will match 100 percent of contributions up to 9 percent of the Monthly Base Earnings plus expatriate premiums, if applicable. Employees are immediately vested in company contributions.
Retirement Income Plan – Hired Before 1/1/2021
This is a defined benefit pension plan that provides retirement benefits to vested employees. Employees become eligible to participate in the plan on their hire date, and become vested upon completing five years of eligible service or upon reaching the plan's normal retirement age of 60. Aramco pays the cost of this plan.
Retirement Income Plan – Saudi Aramco Employees Hired After 1/1/2021
This is a defined benefit pension plan that provides retirement benefits to vested Saudi Aramco employees. Eligible Saudi Aramco employees begin to participate in the plan on their hire date, and become vested upon completing three years of eligible service or upon reaching the plan's normal retirement age of 60. Aramco pays the cost of this plan.
Medical Payment Plan
Aramco offers a medical plan administered by Aetna International to employees and their eligible dependents who elect to participate.
Dental Plan
Dental coverage is available for Aramco employees and their eligible dependents who elect to participate. Employees are responsible for paying their selected coverage. The dental plan provides 100 percent coverage for your preventative care services and a percentage of eligible expenses up to a plan year maximum, depending on the type of service.
Vision Plan
Aramco offers a vision plan fully insured by VSP, making it easy to get the eye care you need. Enrollment in the program is elective and offers both in-network and out-of-network vision benefits including, exams, glasses, contact lenses and personalized care from a VSP network doctor at low out-of-pocket costs.
Group Insurance Plan
We provide company-paid life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance. Employees may also elect to purchase additional life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance for themselves and their eligible dependents.
Short-Term Disability
We provide certain salary continuation benefits for a specified period of time for employees who are unable to work as a result of illness or injury. Aramco pays the cost of this plan.
Long-Term Disability
We provide benefits for a specified period of time for employees who are unable to work as a result of a long-term illness or injury. Aramco pays the cost of this plan.
Flexible Benefit Plan
The Flexible Benefit Plan allows employees to make premium payments for medical, dental, and optional accidental death and dismemberment insurance coverage on a pre-tax basis. In addition, effective January 1, 2021, the Plan includes the Health Flexible Spending Account component, the Dependent Care FSA, and the Health Savings Account.

Medical coverage is available for retirees and their dependents who meet plan eligibility requirements and elect to participate.

Because the overall health and well-being of our team is important to us, we offer a variety of programs, plans, and services to choose from.
Additional benefits include, but are not limited to:
- 9/80 work schedule Most employees opt to work 80 hours over nine days. By working nine hours per day Monday through Thursday, employees may enjoy every other Friday off.
- Holidays We observe up to nine paid holidays each year for employees on the 9/80 work schedule.
- Vacation All employees are eligible for 11–25 paid vacation days per year based on their prior job-related experience and years of continuous service.
