Cooperative Education Program

The purpose of the Cooperative Education Program (Co-Op) is to attract highly motivated undergraduate students to the Company and its U.S. subsidiaries. Students are placed through a selective process and work on structured projects that are jointly developed with the university professors, advisors, and representatives from Aramco Americas and the hosting business departments.

Participation Criteria

Students must be enrolled in and actively pursuing an undergraduate degree in one or more of the following non-technical and technical degree programs:

Non-technical

• General Business Administration
• Marketing/Entrepreneurship
• Finance/Accounting
• Human Resources
• Procurement/Supply Chain
• Public Affairs/Communications
• Economics
• Law

Technical

• Geosciences (Geology, Geophysics)
• Mathematics (MIS, Applied mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering)
• Petroleum Engineering
• Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical)
• Chemistry/Physics

Guidelines

• Departments from any business line may participate in the program with prior approval from the Aramco Americas President. Aramco U.S. subsidiaries may also participate in the program with prior approval from their President.
• Each student’s training program duration will generally be 12 weeks. The assignment may be extended one time, to not exceed a total of 24 weeks. The program is offered year-round.
• Students must work less than 30 hours per week (weekly work hours cannot exceed 30 hours).
• All students are hired as special contract employees.
• Proponent departments must annually identify projected student staffing levels requested for the year, receiving Aramco Americas President approval.
• Proponent departments are responsible for their respective recruiting and interviewing efforts and completing interview evaluation forms, with subsequent Staffing Services validation and Aramco Americas President approval.
• Staffing Services is the only organization authorized to extend training program employment offers.
